Hi every one!

I'm new in JS world and also in JSMVC, i come from PHP world - crazy world ah? - And I realice the mvc of js is veeeery different. I had a problem to load dynamically controllers to the app.

I try a couple of solutions, like history plugin but it doesn't work and i don't need it neither. So i create a JQuery plugin to steal and create a new instance of a controller but that don't work.

My code commented

I try to return the controller name and create the new instance inside a JSMVC Controller but the same error happen (Uncaught TypeError: string is not a function) Ohh by the way if I could destroy the object at same time would be marvelous.

So please heeeeeeeeeeelp.

The variable controller in your code holds the controller's name as a string so .controller("init") isn't actually a function call.

The naming convention we use for our controllers is App.Controllers.Widget.

Suppose the variable controller holds the string 'Widget', we can then do this:

if ( $.isFunction( App.Controllers[ controller ] ) ) {
new App.Controllers[ controller ]( $( '#' + controller ) );
}

where new App.Controllers[ controller ]( $( '#' + controller ) ) is the same as new App.Controllers.Widget( $( '#' + controller ) ), which is the same as $( '#' + controller ) ).app_widget();

So i must return the controller var value and put that code inside a controller widget, right?

I do that and also I try put to the code inside the jquery plugin but the result is the same: Uncaught ReferenceError: App is not defined

I change App to my apps name but as I was thought nothing happens. Now i know App is right.

Can you helpme now?

My code was just an example. How does your app file and controller look like now?

I'm a bit confused now. What are trying to achieve? Somewhere in your html you have a navigation based on li items with links? What must clicking on one of these links do? Load a new page or content? If that's the case you are making it yourself too difficult. Could you explain your app a bit more?

1º- I maked a html page with one UL that contains A, these A change the hash. (#controller)

2º- A controller that control the UL the events in the A.

3º- Then I maked a JQuery plugin to handl the hash changes and use steal to include the controller files. and call the controller init. like single-page app.

I do this because I have more objects to apply the show in main div . NOW I think that is tricky an futile. May be I must put a class in the elements that I want to call controllers.

Tell me if are you agree. I tell you I'm lost in this. My objetive is make a adaptation of the framework to reuse the code in other projects, thats why of the jquery plugin.

but think if you should really be doing it. Controllers themselves are typically very light. Its often better to just load them up front (where it's easier to have them minified).
