Live binding seems so good to look at. I took this code from canjs.us site

1. list( observeList, iterator( item, index ) )

Is the shorthand for:

1. <% todos.bind( 'length', function() {} ); ---> The method is really empty? 
2. $.each( todos, function( i, todo ) { %> 
3.    <li><%= todo.attr( 'name' ) %></li> ---> How/when is this line invoked 
4. <% }) %>

A little bit about the background code that is calling and evaluating these templates would be of great help.

if can.Control keeps any registry of all these expressions.

Can all this magic be done by using simply

1. can.view.render( '/todos/todo.ejs', { todo: todo[ i ] }

and doing rest of the binding by coding outside of template.
